Is it possible to skip a period while you're on the pill?!

Question: Is it possible to skip a period while you're on the pill!?
I know stress can cause a skipped period when not on the pill, but can it cause it while on the pill!? I'm starting the next pill pack today and still it hasn't come!. I know there's a possibility I could be pregnant, but I have also been VERY stressed this month!. What do you think!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I wouldn't worry about missing a single period!. Normally you will get a withdrawal period when you stop taking the pill for the required time (normally 7 days)!.

However, there is a chance you are pregant!. No contraceptive, including the combined oral contraceptive, is failure-proof!. They all have a failure rate!. Just to be sure I would take pregnancy test!.

Incidentally, if you really do not want to get pregant while using combined orals, be sure to take the first pill on time, or even shorten the time off the pill by a day or two!. That first pill is the most important one to avoid ovulation!. A couple of excellent, evidence-based sites listed!. Get the facts, not the myths!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are taking the tablet form of pill, the period you experience during the break is not a 'real' period as such, so i wouldn't worry if it's not come!. When I used that i used to bleed lightly for about a day or sometimes not at all!. It's best to run any concerns by your nurse/doctor!. They can do a pregnancy test for you if it's necessary as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stress is stress!. It doesn't matter if you are on the pill or not stress can and will make you skip a period!. Ease your mind and take a test to be sure!. Its probably gonna be a negative but better safe than sorry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
