Answers:
Get "lite" absorbency tampons with a plastic applicator!.They will be smallest and will glide in the easiest!.

Also make sure you are relaxed, there is nothing to be nervous about, a tampon will never get "stuck" etc, there is always a string to pull it out if you don't want it in there anymore!. Being nervous will make the muscles down there tense and you won't be able to get it in all the way!.

Remember that the tampon needs to be in ALL the way!. ONLY the string needs to show or hang out!. Otherwise it would feel uncomfortable and irritate you!. You might have to take it out several times and throw it away until you get it in all the way just right!.

Try to wait until the 2nd day of your period when it is more heavy because the blood will help it glide in faster and easier!. Do not practice putting them in when you're not on your period because it will hurt because there is no blood and you are DRY!.

If you still have trouble putting it in, put some lubricant on the tampon!. It'll just help get it in easier!.

Good luck and RELAX!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most tampons come with applicators!. The tampon sits inside a cardboard or plastic tube that's about twice as long as the tampon itself!. The tampon is at the top end of the applicator, and the string falls through the bottom end!. The applicator is made of two pieces!. When you push the bottom piece up, the tampon comes out the top!. Tampons are individually wrapped in paper!.

Here are the steps to putting in a tampon:
Sit on the toilet with your legs spread!. Or you can stand and raise one leg to rest it on a toilet or bathtub!.
Remove the tampon from the wrapper!.
Put the applicator into your vagina!. The tampon is on top and the string is hanging out the bottom!. Slide the applicator into your vagina a little more than halfway!. You want the tampon to end up at the top of your vagina, not at the bottom near the outside!.
When the applicator is in the right position, push the bottom part of it into the top part!. This pushes the tampon out the top of the applicator and into your vagina!. Gently pull the applicator out of your vagina, letting the tampon string hang down outside your body!. The applicator is not supposed to be left inside your vagina!. Throw the applicator into the trash!. Don't flush it down the toilet because it can clog the toilet!.
Almost all tampons have applicators, but there are some that don't!. You put in a tampon without an applicator by inserting it deep into your vagina with your fingers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

all you to is stick it up in there and then you push the applicator with your index finger to get it in and wen it is in you just pull out the applicator and its in!. and if you are 13 years old you should probably use a slim or a regular size tampon!. an if you are having trouble finding your "area" just use a mirror to help you find it if you have to!. an it might hurt a little on your first try but you will get used to it!. and when you have to take it out all you have to do is pull the string until it comes out!. that might hurt a bit also!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Start out with the smallest sized stuff, brand doesn't particularily matter (until you find a brand that you like)!. The directions in the box will suggest putting one leg up on the toilet seat, but that never really worked for me when I was first starting to use them!. I always squatted down on the ground to open up "that area!." I also put vaseline on the tampon to make for an easy slip-through!. If you really have trouble, try getting a mirror for that first time too!.

Good luck!. =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

there are instructions in the box, when you buy them!. or ask your family members!. your mom don't have to look at your "area" in order to help instruct you!. it takes a while to get good at it ,and feel comfortable using them!. when i was your age i liked the plastic applicator because it seemed to slid better, the cardboard applicators seem to grip!. but everyone has different opinions!.
boy, the things that girls and women have to do, yah!?
good luck!!!

just use regulars for now
i like tampax pearl, the cardboard tampons i find are very uncomforable to use
just stick it up there, hold the shaft part inbetween you pointer and middle finger
use your thumb to push the shaft up until the fabric is inside and has completly come out of the aplicator
remove all hard matieral or onyl the fabric and the string is left
if it feels too low, take it out and try again but push it higher upWww@Answer-Health@Com

she doesn't have to look p your area to show you!. The box has instructions as well!. Believe me your mom can demonstrate and then leave you alone to practice!. My mom hasn't looked up my "area" nor do I want her too!. lol!. I believe Tampax of Playtex has a kind called "slim fits" for teens so that would probably be bestWww@Answer-Health@Com

they have teen tampons, but I recommend Playtex Pearl for first timers, there easy to use!. It goes about an inch behind your "pee hole" and i find it easiest to stand with one leg up!. Also angle the tampon a little towards the back as to insert easily, good luck :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I hate to refer you to something American Girl Library, but the book 'the Care and Keeping of You' has a section on insertion and removal of tampons!.!.!. it might not help, I mainly figured it out on my own!. I hate reading directions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
