I've had a family history of very painful cramps and of course I was cursed with it as well!. I would miss school and work every month and even throw up each time!! I finally got started on a low dose birth control and ever since then I've been able to function half-way decent!. I still have to take midol but it's so much better!. My advice is to see your ob/gyn!. There could be other reasons as to why you have such painful periods such as stys etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can't remember if you can take aspirin with Midol but I'd check and see!. I usually take some aspirin, take a hot shower, get in really comfortable clothes, cuddle up in the fetal position or lay on my stomach, and either watch tv or just lay there with my eyes shut!. If you can drift off to sleep it will help so much!. If not, just try to lay in a way that minimizes the pain and just be real still for a while!. If you have a heating pad that will help too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
