Question: Is This True About The OB/GYN!?

Today, i called my insurance company for the name of OB/GYN's in my area!. When i called, the lady gave me two names, both women!. Now, I dont have a problem with that because I prefer women doctors!. I didnt request it, she just gave it!. I guess she knew that women feel more comfortable w/ women DR's!. So, my question is, that is it true that male Ob/GYN dr's would see less patients/make less money!? It's just sheer curiousity!. If you are a male ob/gyn reading this i'd appreciate your opinion on this matter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Really it depends on the person!. Her doctor is just as booked up as the females ones at the place I go to!. I have a few friends that just wouldnt want another girl touching them- crazy because I dont want any other man touching ME if its not my man!. So all girls are different but all in all from what I've seen they do the same amount of business!. Pay isn't something i can answer, but i dont see why it would be more or less when everyone is taking patients!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As a health professional, I don't think it makes a difference either way!. As a patient it doesn't make a difference either way, because I am going to be nervous no matter what,lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think male OB/Gyns make less money or have less patients, b/c I think most women go to whichever doctor is closest that is covered by their insurance! My gyno has 2 male dr's there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
