Since I was 16, I've been suffering with PCOS!. My first gyno (a male) was a total jerk!. Because of the PCOS, I have a problem keeping my weight down!. I'd have an appointment and he'd say "Wow, you're really packing it on, aren't you!?" He demanded that I have my first pap at the age of 13 (and no, I was not sexually active)!. When I had the procedure, he shoved the instruments into me and yelled at me when I started screaming in pain!. He also "highly reccomended" that I have a D&C when I was 16 to stop the bleeding!. He had no idea that I had PCOS! He also had me on 2 full strength birth control pills a day--my blood pressure was at an average of 180/50 and I was always swollen!. After the D&C, I was still bleeding and he told me "I don't know what's wrong with you, get out of my office!. I don't want to see you again!." It took me two years to finally get a doctor to diagnose me with PCOS-- and all it took was a vile of blood to determine that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I had a weird experience, though not necessarily a bad one!. The doctor kept discussing my major and authors and people that he knew who were involved in my major throughout the whole exam!. He even gave me a photocopy of the obituary of a professor from my university who was important in my field of stuff!.
And before the exam, I asked him if he had read my chart so he would know my concerns with the exam, and he said he hadn't!. Very weird!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was 16 when I first went to a gynecologist and she had to look down there, I was so embrassed!. I think you're suppose to go to a gyno like a year after you start having sex!. My mom and I were open about sex and she was like "I can't stop you but I can teach you about safety!." So yeah!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Female, inspected my privates and lectured my husband on the fine art of love making!. Telling him not to be so rough etc!. Very embarasssing!. I have no idea what she saw, but she didn't like it, and confronted him:( Never happened since then!.

I have!.!. but that was many years ago!.!.!. things have changed now, nurses NEED TO BY LAW to be in the rooms during pap smears and such!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
