Too Much Weight Lost, Need To Stop, But Confused.?!

Question: Too Much Weight Lost, Need To Stop, But Confused!.!?
Okay, so this is messed up but just listen!. =]

I eat between 500-750 calories daily, and I am fully aware this is too low!. My BMI is currently at 16!.2 and I know things are screwed up!. Anyways, I know this eating thingy isn't good so i'm trying to eat more, but someone told me i've probably next to killed my metabolism so eating anywhere near normal again would mean i'd gain excessive weight, which is not good!.

Is there any truth in this, and what would you do, were you in my shoes!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

wow - could I trade problems for a few months!? : )

I think it is probably right that your metabolism is messed up, but no, you haven't killed it! You just need to retrain it!.

Everyone has a natural "set point" in their weight where their bodies feel the best and work the best!. As it sounds like you already know, you can get too thin, just like you can get too heavy!. I am the last one though!.!.!.!.!. and people think I eat 24/7 to be my size, when in fact, I eat less than everyone I know!. But, I am also hypothyroid, and have other health problems!.

That being said, it is just a matter of GRADUAL adjustment!.
Sure, if you try to go from 500-750 cals a day to a box of Krispy Kremes every morning, two big macs for lunch, etc etc, then yes, you'll gain excessive weight!.
But, if you add foods gradually, and choose things that are good for you (the things your body & brain needs to function correctly), then you won't gain excessive weight, and will probably feel so much better!.

Of course, there is the mental aspect of any weight problem, so that is a different thing!. You didn't ask about that!. You have to care enough about yourself to eat the things your body needs!. Sometimes, that can be really really hard, on both ends of the weight spectrum!.

It can be hard, but you have to realize that you need to take care of yourself!. Beng skinny is certainly popular these days, but a skinny person with dry brittle hair and haggard-looking skin just isn't model material! Much better to be average (and "average" is that because so many women are average - very few are model-thin or circus-heavy!) and be healthy than to try to meet some unrealistic expectation of either a boyfriend, society, etc etc!. And if I was dating someone who thought I could stand to lose a few pounds, I would - I'd find another boyfriend and quickly loose at least 150 lbs! LOL!

Seriously - if you choose foods that are good for you, you'll be fine!. Your body won't go into overdrive and pile on the pounds from eating a diet of foods that are not full of sugar or white flours!.!.!.!.!.

Take care, and take it easy on yourself!. No one is perfect!. No one loves everything about their bodies, and there is no benefit whatsoever to being the best looking "corpse" at a funeral! Be gentle on yourself!Www@Answer-Health@Com

slowly increase your daily calorie intake so your body has a chance to deal with the changes!. Try going to see a dietician to help you get on a healthy food plan and best of luck to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
