Dear Embarrassed:

Sometimes girls have an extra thick hymen or the hymen is attached in such a way that insertion of a tampon is very painful!. Sometimes this requires surgery called a hymenectomy!. You can research this on the net!. If you think you have a problem other than just normal fear, you should have your parent take you for a visit to a OB/GYN!. He/she can tell you right away if it is a medical issue!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

okayi wear tampons
and i felt the same way!
i was disgusted the first couiple of months!
this is because you think about it too much
just put it in and their!.

you have to make sure you put it all the way in
or it will hurt
you put it all on
still holding the bottom part
the rim place
then you puch but dont let go
and then slide it out

and their your finished!
you'll get used to them
trust me!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Aww!.!.!. Its not exactly a fear I think, You're just not ready!. When you're doing it, you're supposed to be relaxed and comfortable, and the first few tampons usually feel like they're poking you!. But you eventually get used to it!.

So maybe stick with pads for a while!. X3Www@Answer-Health@Com

i dont think you have a phobia!. it sounds like you are just tooo young and your not ready mentally or physically for anything to be 'down there'!. dont do it just cause all the other girls do, do it when YOU are ready!. pads are just as good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it could be something called "vaginismus" (i have it!) google it and see if it rings any bells!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should just wear a pad they are easier all you gotta do is put in your pants and your good to go!. well at least thats what my girl doesWww@Answer-Health@Com

use padsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Heya my sweetie,
it dont sound to me like a phobia, it seems to me you are just not ready to have anything in between your legs including tampons !!.
Just dont use tampons at present i know its annoying but your purely not ready at the moment!. I would use pads for the time been and try again in a few months!. You will be able to do it, if you want to try and get the tampon in i would say put a but of KY jelly on the end of the tampon ( it will make it easier to insert)!. Only put on KY jelly though nothing else!.
So if you want to try use a bit of KY jelly on the end, if that dont work and it dont feel right take the tampon out and stick with pads for a few months!.
It purely because your not ready for anything between your legs at moment!. I can safely say this isnt a phobia!.
May i suggest talking to your mom or a female relative, about this issue, it sounds like you need someone to support you!. If you need someone to talk to please feel free to contact me!.

Hope i helped, - dont worry your totally normal
