Embarrassing question. Only doctors or females please!!!?!

Question: Embarrassing question!. Only doctors or females please!!!!?
I'm 18 years old and about a year ago I had a period that lasted for 47 days straight!. I went to the doctor and they thought something might be wrong with my hormones and such, but they did blood work and said that I was as healthy as could be!. Shortly afterwards, my period FINALLY ended!. Over the year it has done it on occasion, but not nearly as long as last time!. Now I've had my period for 23 days and I'm worried it will keep going like it did last time!. Every time it does this, there is a clump of blood in the bottom of the toilet or on the paper each time I wipe!. I don't know what to do!. I've told my mom, she's a nurse, and she's stumped to why this is happening also!. Any reasoning/suggestions/understanding!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is nothing to be embarrassed about this happens to many women, such as me!. My cycle stayed on once for 7 months, 3 months and for 4 months at a time!. I thought something was wrong with me or either i was crazy!. Then I thought maybe it was because I was overweight, but i know every overweight person can't go through this!. So I finally saw a OBGYN and he diagnosed me with a hormonal imbalance, it cause me to be fatigue, sore breast, headaches and much more!. After all the bleeding some one told me if I get on the depo shot I won't bleed any more, so that's just what I did and I now haven't had a cycle now in about a year!. One doctor said that it wasn't good for me and another said that it was OK, I'm just confused! So just go to your doctor, they might recommend you get on the pill to regulate you cycle, I did that once, it works but I kept forgetting to take the pill!. So good luck and be blessed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some people have extrodinarily heavy periods!. It is not unusual to pass clots during that time!. I'm surprised your mom didn't know that!. Sometimes doctors will prescribe birth control pills to lighten the period and make them shorter and more predictable!.

You run a real risk of anemia with that much of a monthly loss!. Mom might not want you on BC pills though!.

There are lots of options and if your doc is not offering any, you might want to get a second opinion!. There are also clinics that can see you for free, if that is a problem!.
