Pregant and still have period?!
Question: Pregant and still have period!?
I just got my period on Tuesday, and I am on birth control (ortho tri cyclin lo) I also take xanax and maxalt for aniexty and migraines!. Do these meds affect this type of birth control!? I missed 3 of my pills during this pill pack, but took the missed 1 and the next one in the same day!. This was 3 seperate times!. I had unprotected sex throughout this month however!.!.!.!.I have been on this birth control though for alittle over 3 years!. Could I potentially be pregnant even though I am on a period!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

First of all, the meds don't conflict, but always tell your doctor all the meds you take on a regular or situational basis!.
Ok, Ortho Tri Cyclin Lo, as you know, usually will start your period and generally mess with your cycle if you miss so much as 1 pill!. The old pills didn't used to so much but you still could ovulate after missing one!.
Periods & pregnancies!. Yes, some women spot during pregnancy!. No one is really sure what causes this, but it can be very period-like and happen like an irregular period!.
If you had unprotected sex you really should take a home pregnancy test to find out for sure!. It is always possible to get pregnant!. Remember, the product packaging says that 98% of women who take it PERFECTLY don't get pregnant!. That's still a 2% chance that even if you take it at the same time every day without fail you could get pregnant!. Most women don't take it perfectly and open themselves up to chances in excess of 8-10% of getting pregnant!.
If you are not pregnant (you take a test and it's negative) PLEASE for the sake of all that's good and holy and your own sanity my dear USE a backup method!. Condoms are easy, often fun, cheap, tasty, lumpy-bumpy, they're a great option!. Plus, they protect against STD's as the pills do not!. But again, even things can go wrong with condoms, so that's where the pill will come in!.
Even still there is the slightest, smallest chance you still could get pregnant even if you're very, very careful!. The ONLY way to ensure you don't become a parent when you don't want to be is of course not to have sex at all!. But of course, that's not as much fun, right!? Right!.
So go invest in some spermicidals & condoms and other things that can actually spice things up as well as doubly protect you from pregnancy and help protect against STD's!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

awesome i finally found someone that takes the same birth control as me!.!.!.well normally when people get there period that means that they are not pregnant because the egg didn't get fertilized so there for your not pregnant!. and i'm not sure if these medicines will affect ortho that's something you might wanna ask your doctor ! You said that you missed some of your pills did you by any chance have sex during that time!? For some women, a small amount of spotting or vaginal bleeding is one of the first symptoms of pregnancy!. Known as implantation bleeding, it happens when the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus
