Question: Mouth dry, feels like im choking! help!!?
i was taking some antibiotics!.!.and freaked out bc i felt like the pill got stuck in my throat!.!. ive been drinking all this water!.!. now my mouth feels extremely dry from drinking so much water making it harder for me to eat, swallow, breathe!.!.!. i suffer from major anxiety!.!.!.and now i dunno what to do!.!. im crying bc i m scared i might not be able to swallow anything!.!.

Oh don't worry, the exact same thing happened to me yesterday!. I have anxiety attacks very easily, and am very paranoid about everything!. I have been taking antibiotics called tetracycline for acne!.The pill got lodged in my throat and the powder came out!. Of course, I panicked, and drank over 16 glasses of water!. I felt sick to my stomach, and i also have throat issues, to the point where I can barely ever swallow pills because I'm afraid i will choke!. I couldn't breathe and had a panic attack, so I went to the hospital!. The doctor told me that none of this should've have happened!. I was totally overreacting and it was all just anxiety making me feel like my throat was closing up!. It used to happen to me all the time, but he gave me some calming exercises!. Trust me,you're fine!. What you should do is try not to drink anything!. Wait for the saliva in your mouth to return, and don't swallow until it is full!. Eventually, the saliva will return normally, and you will be able to swallow!. In the mean time, calm down!. Forget about it!. Watch some calm tv, go to sleep, take deep breathes, and remember, it's all in your head!. I know you think it's not, but it is!. You'll be fine, I promise!. I'm fine now!Www@Answer-Health@Com
First, calm yourself, you will be getting help!. Now, call your doctor!. If the doctor isn't in, call the pharmacy where you got the prescription and tell them your symptoms!. You may be having an allergic reaction to the medicine!. Some antibiotics can cause dry mouth, but it shouldn't impact your swallowing or breathing!. Please call your doctor!. NOW!.
