Question: I have something that looks like clear thick snot coming from my vagina, what is it !?
It's only when i wipe that i see it but it has also been on my husbands penis when we have had sex!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1)As a nurse, we HIGHLY DISCOURAGE douching!.!.!.EVER!.!.!.and especially medicated douches!. It's archaic, and destroys the normal "flora and fauna" of your vagina!.
2) It does NOT sound like a fungal infection!
3) The discharge you have!.!.!.amount, color, consistency, odor!.!.!.varies greatly from person to person, and changes throughout your cycle!. Normal for you may be VERY abnormal for someone else!.!.!.etc!.
4) IN GENERAL, the discharge will have a heavy odor, be curd-like, or be greenish if there is an infection present!.
WHAT YOU ARE SEEING!.!.!.!.!. is probably normal, mid-cycle mucous discharge!. Also known as "Fertile Mucous", it occurs starting the few days before you ovulate, peaks when you do ovulate, and then wanes a few days later!. For a few days before and after the mucous you may see milky white discharge that is not as stretchy, but is a little stickier!.!.!.!.all normal!.
If you have the "clear thick snot" stuff throughout out your cycle and into the next!.!.!.!.THEN you may want to visit your ObGyn!.

its a discharge which could be different depending on your hormones at the time!. thats normal!. use a douche thats medicated, not to often though!. just once it should go back to being liquidy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
