Shaving....?!

Question: Shaving!.!.!.!.!?
Ok!. I am going into 8th grade and my mom doesn't notice anything! I'm serious!. My dad was the one who told her I needed a bra! C'mon Mom! Anyway, I already started my period and I am scared to tell her!. I have had it 7 months ago!. And I can't even talk to her about shaving!. I shave anyway with some extra razors that I found in the house, but she still doesn't notice!. I have told her time and time again that I shaved!. Once, we were at Longs and she was buying razors and I was all, "Hey!. I want one!." And then she responded, "You don't shave!." It makes me so mad because wouldn't you think that I would need to shave by now!? I am 13 for goodness sakes! I really want to ask her to buy me a Venus razor!. My friend gave me a free razor--thanks so much Madi!.!.!.Anyway, it just ticks me off on how all these people's moms asked them if they wanted to shave!. My mom is never gonna ask me that!. I get uncomfortable about talking about this!. I need help on how to ask her!. I am nervous!. Should I text her!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
this is exactly what i went through in junior high!! i was the only girl not wearing a bra or shaving!! i was so uncomfortable about talking to anyone about it so i just kept it to myself! my mom finally noticed that i needed a bra but as for the shaving that didn't happen until the middle of 8th grade when i started my period and on the way to the store she said something about me starting to shave (she wouldn't even let me get razors! i had to use veet!) and i did the same w/ the razors!.!. i'd sneak some from her bathroom or from friends houses! i think texting her would be an easy way for you to do it!.!. put all your thoughts into a text message, close your eyes and press send! then its out there in the open for you two to deal with! let me know if you need any more advice!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went through the exact same thing with my mom, and frankly I just started taking her razor out of her bathroom!. When she asked me I just told her that if she had bought me my own I wouldn't have to take hers!. You could buy your own; disposable razors are very cheap and do just as good a job with the right lubrication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you can't talk to Mom!. Maybe you should talk to Dad!. Some Dad's are more sympathetic than some Mom's!. Sounds like your Dad fits that bill!. Or talk to your Grandmother or Aunt there has to be somebody you can talk to or at least someone who can act as a go between, a mediator!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I did the same thing and when I asked for a bra my mom told me she had some bandaids at home!. lol!. Write her a note and give it to her or put it somewhere you know she'll find it!. come on your 13 and it's summer, she must know you need to shave!. Are you the oldest child, maybe she is clueless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My daughter is 12 and I see and know what is going on with her body!. Your mom is either selfish or in denial!. Try sitting down with her and tell her ehat is going on!. If that doesn't work try writing her a letter!. She needs to be there for you during this time!. I am sorry you have to go through this on your own!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow what a situation!. Dont text her!. Talk to her!. Make sure shes paying attention and stay calm (you can try crying aswell)!. If you have a sister talk to her!. If she still doesnt let you shave ask(politly) why not!?

WHATEVER YOU DO: DONT BE RUDE!Www@Answer-Health@Com

don't text her talk in person say mom how old were you when you started shaving see if you can get something out of her and then say I think that its about time i started shaving try it and I hope it works for youWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you can't break through to your mom!.!.!.You might have to rely on Pops!. Its weird and all, but you don't have to give details!. It seems hes a little more open to what you need!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no what you need to go is sit her down and make sure you have he atteion and just plan out tell her "mom im shaving its about time i do"
okk so just tell her she should understan she went through it at somepointWww@Answer-Health@Com

use your dads razors works for me there a little sharper but they get the job done!. Good luck! :]Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to help her communicate with you
for whatever reason the important issues of periods, shaving, life issues aren't easy topics for your mom and you to share!.

you need to let her know that you are having periods and need feminine supplies and razors so you won't look like a Sasquatch!. it is good practice for later on and you definitely want to be able to talk to her about even more difficult issues!.

she probably is more comfortable pretending to herself that you are still a little girl!. but in her head she knows you are growing by leaps and boundsWww@Answer-Health@Com
