Can taking 3birth control pills at once act as an emergency contraception?!

Question: Can taking 3birth control pills at once act as an emergency contraception!?
I heard that taking three birth control pills at once can act as an emergancy contraception!. Is this true and what exactly is an emergency contraception!? My boyfriend got some sperm on me about four hours ago and I am worried!. It is about four days after my assumed ovulation!. I dont think any sperm actually got onto the vaginal opening and I know it did not get inside at all!. it maily got around my pee hole and lips, right above the begining of the vagina, but not the entrance of the vagina!. I wiped it off well with a dry towel and then washed everthing off and out with soap and water!. What are my chances of getting preg and will the 3pills at onc thing really work!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Planned parenthood gives plan B for free, I'm pretty sure!. You can take 3 birth control pills and be safe, I'v done both!. It was actually planned parenthood that told me I could take 3 birth control pills!. I was too far away to be able to get some in time!. Also, a friend of mine had used Plan B too many times, so Planned Parenthood told her to her to take 3 pills at once!. Some birth control pills have pills at the beginning of the month having more hormones in them, while at the end of the month they have less; so take pills from the beginning of the pack!.
Here's planned parenthood's phone #, where they can answer some Q's 1-800-230-PLAN

Here is planned parenthood's info ab't emergency contraception

You can take 3 birth control pills! and it is definitely better than nothing!. Just do something and you'll be fineWww@Answer-Health@Com

Your chances of getting pregnant are slim, but go to the chemist or doctors for the morning after pill to be on the safe side!. The three pills thing won't work, as birth control pills work by tricking your body into thinking it is already pregnant and so does not need to release an egg!. If an egg has been released and fertilized, you could take the whole packet and it wouldn't make any difference!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no it doesnt count!.!.!. there is something called Plan B yea thats the name u can get it over the counter for around $50 bucks and what it does is make it so no egg can become fertile durring tose 72 hours, u can only take it w/in 72 hours of having sex or thinking sperm entered ur system!.!.!. it will mess up ur period for a month but thats all!.

In opinion , taking such pills may damage your womb and your fertility for good!. U'd better consult the gynae for this matter!. Frankly speaking , I myself never ask my gf to consume this pill since I suffer from retarded eja, it is relatively safe during coitus i thinkWww@Answer-Health@Com

birth control can not take back birth it only prevents it!. you can take birth control pills the whole time you are pregnant and not misscarry!. it dosent have that sort of effect and will not termanate a pregnancy!. take your pills on time next time :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Taking the 3 pills wont make any difference to making sure you will not conceive!

If your on the pill, 1 a day is enough! or are you saying your not on the pill and you have taken 3 pills as a one-off!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's a myth, for sure!. It's probably not safe at all!. Just think logically about it, one pill prevents you from getting preggers, what would three do to your insides!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

STOP HAVING SEX, HAVING SEX IS SUPPOSED TO BE TO MAKE BABIES NOT HAVE FUN!!!! UR GOIN TO HELL!!!!

You more than likely wont get pregnant!. But it is possible!. Worrying about it wont help, because that can make you miss your period and then freak out!.

Taking 3 bc pills wont work!. It takes a couple days to get into your system and by then it will be on overload!.

If you are really worried about it, you can go to Planned ParentHood and ask them for Plan B pill or some Pharmacies will hand them out!.

If you are worried about getting pregnant, you shouldn't be having sex!. I have two friends who got pregnant while on birth control and the condoms broke!. It isn't a 100 percent protection, not even together!. But if you wont give up sex, then use a condom!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Taking 3 birth control pills at once as a "morning after" solution is probably not advisable - you would be better to go to a pharmacy and get the proper medication for this purpose!. To answer your second question, emergency contraception is simply a massive dose of hormones which have the effect of causing the uterus to shed its lining (just like it does when you have your period)!. The downside of emergency contraception is that it doesn't always work and the massive dose of hormones can adversely affect your normal menstrual cycle for months afterwards!.

As to the chances of your being pregnant, it is unfortunately very possible, given how close it is to ovulation for you!. Remember that it only takes a single sperm from a microscopic drop of semen to make it all the way for conception to occur!. Also, the semen doesn't have to be inside you for this to occur - near enough can be good enough!.

This begs the question of why you were having unprotected sex - why no condom!?

I'd suggest you get yourself some proper emergency contraception this time and cross your fingers - and do think carefully before having unprotected sex next time!?

Hope everything works out for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
