In nursing school, I was taught this: You count from day 1 of your period until day 14!. Then after day 14 your progesterone level rises and you are less likely to get pregnant!. So lets say your period ends on day 5 and you have sex on day 8, which is 3 days after your period, then you can get pregnant!. Hope this is not too confusing!. Most people think you began counting after your period is over, this is not the case!. also semen can remain in the vagina for 3-4 days according to how alkaline or acidic your vaginal canal is!. The more acidic the better, because the male is more alkaline!. Do not douche, it drives the sperm upward!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, if you have the regular 28 day cycle then you may just be entering the fertile period!. (Although it is possible to get pregnant at any time of the month, just the closer to ovulation, the stronger the chance!.)

Take a test in 2-3 weeks!. Then another a week after that, just to be sure!.
