Question: My little sister says she started her period and she has had 2 months gap what should i tell her!?
She keeps worring shes pregnant!.!.!.Shes only 11 lol She had her period in April 2008 and hasnt had it for 2 months!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just say UR NOT PREGNANT! when u first have ur period u can have lil to big gaps!. i remember my first one and i had it on june 30th and didnt get it intil sometime in august!. tell her when u first get ur period sis, u dont get it every month! and if she doesnt believe u show her all the ansewers u get to this question!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Is she sexually active or had any sexual contact!? If not, she's not pregnant! Do your parents/guardians know that she's started her period!? This might be a good time to get a dialog going with mom or another trusted adult about what's going on with her body and so on!. Honestly, she's young, and it can take a long time before a woman's cycle regulates (for some women, it never does!)!. Unless she IS sexually active (or has had sexual contact) or is having other symptoms that may suggest a larger problem, I would just tell her to keep an eye out for it!. If it doesn't show up soon, definitely talk to mom, and see what she thinks!. Mom might be more able to decide whether a trip to the doctor is in order to get checked out!.
Keep in mind that many things can cause a period to be delayed (Stress, low weight, lots of physical strain [like preparing for a marathon], etc!.)!. If she's really stressed about possibly being pregnant, that could be keeping that period from showing up!.

I hope she is not sexually active, however if she is take a pregnancy test!. In most cases when a female first starts her period it may be sporadic!. It may take her a while to obtain a regular cycle, yet if she is sexually active-go and get a pregnancy test or go to the local health department!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
she could only be pregnant if shes had sex, and i hope she hasn't at 11!.
but, if shes new to her period then she will be irregular, its normal she'l start to become regular as time goes on!.

When girls first start having their periods its not always a constant thing like some women!. I'm 21 and i still will skip a couple of months with out having one!. Bodies are different and do different things!. If she is worried that she is prego then you should try talking to her about her sex life!. I know its weird because she is 11, but she will probably talk to you rather than parents or guardians!. If she thinks she is prego, enlighten her by buying a home pregnancy test for her to take!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
