Question: Can Lamictal cause a false positive hpt!?
I have been on Lamictal for 10 months now; I have epilepsy, but have been seizure-free for ten years!. I missed my period this week, and took a home pregnancy test twice this morning, and both came back negative!. Does anyone know if Lamictal can cause a false positive!? Has anyone else experienced this!?
I am really upset, as I am five days late!. If my period doesn't arrive by next month, maybe I should wait until I'm due for my next period to test again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, it can not give you a false positive!. My hubby is a epilepsy medicine expert and I asked him!. If you continue to worry, go to MD and get blood pregnancy test to confirm!. Then you can talk to your MD about epilepsy meds while pregnant if need be!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
That would be a false negitive- which is rare!. I 've never heard of lamictil causing thatWww@Answer-Health@Com
