TSS is a rare but serious disease!. You can reduce the risk of developing TSS during your period by alternating tampons with pads!. You can keep a tampon in for up to 8 hours!. And you should always used the lowest absorbency needed to control your period!. If you check the websites of manufactors you can get more information!. But if you change your tampon regularly the risk of getting TSS is like none!. All i use is tampons and ive never experienced any symptoms or anything!. Tampons are perfectly comfortable when inserted corectly!. The source website should answer any worries or questions you have!. Tampons can be kept on for 4 to 8 hours!. And you can participate in activities such as swimming that your wouldnt usually do with a pad!. There are more Pros and really no cons!. So give it a try!

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

honestly I don't think tampons are less effort on the contrary, I have tried them but I just plain don't like them, specially when you have to take them out it is very uncomfortable and I was also worried about the TSS, on the pads thing I feel more secure using the Always brand because they are really absorbent but of course you have to change as with the tampons e very 3 hours or so, I never had issues and the times I used tampons I was always paranoid that they would leak and I put on a pad just in case so I just don't use tampons any moreWww@Answer-Health@Com

I prefer a silicone cup, because it isn't absorbant and lowers the already very low risk of TSS!. Whether you use tampons or a cup, if you have a hymen, you may have to stretch it or break it with your fingers to comfortably use insertable hygene products!.

I really like reusable pads because they're far less stinky and hot-- it's like wearing panties!. Think about it-- does it stink when you cut yourself!? Plastic pads stink and cause rashes because the blood stays hot and wet!. Cotton lets it dry before it putrifies!.

Cloth pads like Lunapads have no backing, which is fine if your flow is moderate, but many etsy sellers add a waterproof backing that lets moisture evaporate while preventing leaks!. Snaps are key, in my opinion!. This site also has many options!.

You can make your own from the dozens of patterns online once you know what you want!. Dupont's Gore Tex material is expensive, but is the best backing in my experience, because body heat causes water to evaporate through it, but it'll never, ever leak liquid!.

Hope that helped!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

TSS is really not common!. My doctor said just make sure to match the absorbency to your flow, as in don't use Super on light days!. Change them regularly, like every 2-3 hours!. She also suggested wearing a pad at night!.

Women use them all their lives and never get TSS!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

tss is a very rare disease, if you use them use the littlest ones you can to desolve the blood that is coming from your cirvix, dont worry about it, unless your family has a history of blood clots!.!.!. good luck:)Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are more likely to get TSS from strep throat!. People associate it with tampons though because all the people who are against using tampons use it as an excuse not to!. There aren't as many people who are adamantly against getting sore throatsWww@Answer-Health@Com

get a menstrual cup research them if you dont know what they are they seem gross at first but then they start to become appealing after you know more about themWww@Answer-Health@Com

TSS is very rare, just remember to change it every 4 hours!.
Even if you do change it at like!.!.!.12 hours, its VERY rare to get it even then!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
