My gf is in birth control!. we are meeting fter a long time but unfortunately its her first day of periods!. my question is, is it possible for her to get pregnant even she is in birth control and during periods!.!. No the possibilty is very very low!. And just to clarify, eggs are not flushed out during menstrual periods!. A woman ovulates (generally one egg at a time) and when that egg passes out unfertilized that is what signals menstruation to begin!. Also the way the pill works is by suppressing ovulation in the first place!. So no ovulation=no egg=nothing to make a baby!. The pill works by putting the body into a false state of pregnancy, that's why no ovulation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
if your girlfriend is on the pill then she will be on what is called her 7 day break, during this time she will have a withdrawl bleed!. Most people think its a period but its not, its her body withdrawing from the pill!. If she missed 3-4 days of her pill at anytime she would start to bleed also!.

Birth control is still effective even if you're taking placebos (or not taking pills at all) during your period!. The chance of getting pregnant is the same as any other time during her cycle!.
