Answers:
Hi!. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis!. The reason carbs are bad for you is that women with PCOS usually have glucose intolerance, which makes eating lots of glucose bad--and the body quickly digests carbs, breaking them down into lots of glucose!. Your body can't properly process the glucose, especially when you get a large spike of it at one time when you eat carbs like sweets, white rice, sugar, and white flour, so you end up having high blood glucose, which, over time, can cause damage to blood vessels and organs!. In addition, you are at greater risk of developing type II diabetes, and such a diagnosis would mean you shouldn't eat lots of carbs, either!. So basically, a good model for how you should eat is to adopt the eating habits of someone with diabetes!. Because you don't actually have diabetes, it's not as harmful if you cheat every once in awhile!. But you shouldn't push it!. You should also try to eat foods that are low glycemic index foods--foods that won't change blood glucose much!. Doctors will often prescribe Metformin to women with PCOS, because it improves your glucose intolerance!. Some doctors are more familiar with PCOS than others!. I don't know what kind of doctor you just saw today, but you might want to get a second opinion from someone who is an expert in PCOS, just to be sure you are getting the best care possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's B!.S!. about carbs!.
I also have PCOS and I eat those things, though I have never eaten a lot of sugar because I don't have a sweettooth!.

Carbs is a fad!.

My doctor NEVER said that to me about carbs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
