Question: Breast cancer scare!?
Hello I am so paranoid of getting breast cancer I constantly worry!.!.!.I am 26!.!.!.I had painful breasts and had an ultrasound and one of my breasts had a small cyst and they said to get a check up in 1 years time!.!.!.!.they are still ore sometimes!.!.!.!.and is it true that it does not matter about doing self breast examinations monthly!? Should I do them!? And I was on the pill for 12 years but stopped 4 moths ago!.!.!.!.!.!.I got the ultrasound 8 months ago so in 4 months I will get another one!. Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is VERY important to do a monthy self-breast exam!. My mom was diagnosed a month ago with breast cancer!. (She's only 41!) Her mamograms always appeared negative but she did detect a VERY SMALL lump in her breast through a self breast exam!. She got it checked and it turns out the lump was cancerous!. She had the lump removed and it was so small!. ONLY 1 CENTIMETER! Also, I know the word cancer seems very scary but breast cancer is often times not a death sentence!. Technology has improved on early detection but the most important thing is to check yourself often!. I'm not trying to scare you and I hope I'm not! I'm sure you will be fine!.
