What is the best kind of Monistat to use?!

Question: What is the best kind of Monistat to use!?
I have a HORRIBLE yeast infection!. It's bothering me so much that I can't sleep!. I was researching Monistat brands and there are 1 day doses, 3 day doses and 7 day doses!. There is even like nightime doses!. Does anyone know which is the best one to use!? On one hand I would think the one day dose because it would probably be the strongest but on the other hand many the 7 day dose would be the best because it lasts longer and it might get rid of the infection more long term!. Any suggestions!? HELP it's driving me CRAZYWww@Answer-Health@Com

I can sympathize with you, that's a very ugly thing to have!. We all know!. The Monistat brand is only one kind of antifungal!. There are other products and they all target a specific kind of yeast!. Problem is, you don't know what you have!. The best thing to do is call your GYN Dr!. and ask them what they recommend!. You may have to go in for an exam!. There is a pill called Diflucan the Dr!. can Rx for you!. Normally you would only get 1-2 tablets!. You take one now and the other 3 days later!. This should get rid of the overabundance of yeast in your body!. Once you've done this you need to change your diet to keep the yeasties at bay!. e!.g!., cut sugar, bread and anything made with yeast!. Then I highly recommend you take a probiotic supplement each day, like Acidopholus!. A probiotic helps balance the body's immune system so one doesn't overtake like the yeast did!. I take it and it works great!. No more yeast infections!. Oh, yeah, eat lots of yogurt that says on the label "live and active bacterial cultures!." It contains good bacteria like acidopholus does!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I had a mild yeast infection not too long ago!. I used the 3 day remedy!.!. the cream that you put in the applicator and insert!. On the instructions it says to insert the cream with the applicator for 3 nights before you go to bed!.

It worked for me!.!.!. by the third day my itching and discharge was gone =)

I would suggest the 7 day treatment, especially if you're so uncomfortable you can't even sleep!. That way you can be treated, and even if you feel better within 3 days the continued treatment will help prevent another yeast infection!.

I know how you feel, when I had my yeast infection (Which was my first since I was about 5 years old) it was the most uncomfortable feeling I've ever had down there!.

I've had better luck with the longer regimines!. I've done the one or three day treatments only to have to go back and do a 7 day regimine anyway!. Good luck, yeast infections are no fun!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Start with the one day!.!. wait a while!. If it doesn't work, try the 3 day!.!. wait a while!. And so on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
