It can't be completely closed, it has a little tiny opening that your period blood comes out of!. It breaks during sex or during exercise such as horseback riding or bicycling!. Some women break their hymen and don't even know it!. You will know you broke your hymen if you bleed a little bit in your panties!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
the hymen has a very small slit in it from birth, it's like if you stretched plastic wrap over the top of a cup and stuck a sharp knife through!. so it's always got that opening for blood to come out if you get your period, but when you have sex the first time it totally rips it all!.

the hymen isn't this plug or anything!. it's a thin piece of tissue with HEAPS of tiny holes in it which allow blood and other excretions to pass!. therefore when you insert something in the vagina, it doesn't necessarily break, it just might mean that one of the holes stretches (that's why it doesn't hurt for some people because there is no tearring of the tissue)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes it will break during sex!. Thats how they used to check if girls were still virgins!. Ive read though that it can accommodate a tampon without breaking and no your period will not cause it to break!. yes!. but I have never heard of anything else breakn it!. If a tampon cant break it then why would playn sports!? I played on various teams in high school, softball, basketball, tennis, and ran track!. Mine was still in tact!. Oh, I did horseback riding (our homeroom teacher owned a rodeo and he taught us after school) and still there!.!.!.If you are looking for an excuse to give your parents as to why it is broken, your doctor will be able to tell by the rip how it was broken anyways!. If it is completely closed, then it needs to be surgically opened to allow for fluids to come out!. Usually this happens at a very young age, so it is very unlikely that yours is closed, probably just intact!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
