Question: If your 11 year old asked to wear tampons, what would you do!?
i wear tampons, but my friend doesnt!. she asked me how to ask her mom, i asked when i was thirteen!. but she is only 11!. she doesnt like play sports or anything!. i told her to tell her mom that pads are gross (they are)!.

If it were my 11 yr!. old I'd let her try them as long as she knows to read the instructions!. I informed her about tips on getting one in easier (I got her some junior size from Tampax) so she can try anytime she wants!. I was 12 and I agree that tampons were a lot better and less messy then sitting on a wet pad that may leak!. She could say mom I'd like to try some small sized tampons to see if that would be cleaner and I will read the directions!. Can you give me some tips as I really want to try them!? That's what I'd say if I were the 11 year old!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Just tell her to ask, tell her to say when i wear pads i can feel them and they are gross (like you said)!. Trust me moms understand it's something they have all done, they have all tried a tampon at first!. And chances are her mom wears one!. Just tell her to get straight to the point and tell her!. Well, I'm 15, and I just started seriously wearing them, but I tried them out around age 11, so that sounds okay to me!.
But just have her ask her mom at the store or before they go shopping!. Just kind of pull her aside and say "hey, i want to try tampons, pads just don't work for me right now, they're gross!.!.!. etc!." She may not even like wearing tampons!. (I didn't at first!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I started wearing tampons as soon as I got my period!. I didn't even bother asking my mom!.!.!. I just started stealing hers!. She just had to buy more!. We didn't have a very good relationship, though!.

tell her to ask her mom because she wants to be able to go swimming or feels uncomfortable in a pad!. I was 11 when I started wearing them, my mom said no at first but eventually said ok!. Have her tell her mom they make really skinny ones for teens!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Moms are very weird about extremely young girls and tampons!. Moms don't want anything inserted into their 11 years olds vagina!. I really don't know what advice to give on that one!. She's seems awfully young to be using tampons!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I got my period at that age and said "Mom I need a tampon" and then used one!. No big deal!. If you're old enough to get your period, you're old enough to use a tampon!. This is just silly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
