Question: Is a hysterectomy absolutely necessary in order to repair a rectocele/prolapse problem!?
you hear so much about "unnesisary" hysterectomies being done!. I don't have any bleeding issues or endometriosis or pain!.!.!.!.not going thru menopause either!. I'm being told that it's being removed due to it being "enlarged!."Www@Answer-Health@Com

A lot of the decision in this matter may come down to exactly how enlarged your uterus is!. Anything that's going to contribute to the downward gravity issues can exaserbate (gosh I hope I spelled that right) issues involving pelvic prolapse issues!.

It may be possible!. In females, the uterus takes up about a 1/3rd to 1/4 of the lower pelvis other than the bladder and the intenstines!. Removing what isn't necessary (the uterus, if you're done having children) will give more room for the other 2!. You could always seek a 2nd opinion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
