Question: Is there a way for me to see if (Women Only)!?
my hymen is still intact!? My culture (Ethiopian) requires me to have an intact hymen (for lack of a better term) so I will be a suitable bride!. I am still a virgin, not sexually or physically active, I don't ride bikes or horseback ride or anything like that!.!.!.
I have tried to see if its intact by sitting in my bathroom & spreading my legs & taking a mirror but I could barely see anything (mostly because I could barely spread anything)
I don't want to go to a gyno because I've heard that the instruments they use are unfitting!.!.!.

Try with the mirror while lying on your bed!. Try using a mirror that magnifies better!. Also remember that a hymen doesn't have to be a certain size and even if you have a hymen that doesn't mean you will bleed the first time you have sex!. Tampons can stretch or tear the hymen too!. I was a virgin when I got married!. My husband and I didn't even kiss until we were married!. I still didn't have an intact hymen!. I know this won't change your culture though!. Your husband will probably not be able to tell if your hymen is intact or not!. I'm hoping there isn't an exam or something before you get married because it is a little subjective!. You can FEEL if your hymen is intact or not!.
Feel around your vaginal entrance and try to push a finger or two past the entrance of your vagina; if you experience a barrier/resistance of some kind, your hymen is intact!. just take a mirror squat over it and spread your vagina lips if there is a membrane covering the hole then your hymen is still intact
ok not to diss your culture at all but thats a bit riduclous because a girl cannot control if her hymen has been broken because its very fragile it could be broken in your sleep from maybe stretching a bad way or what not!. it could break from just running around and playing and stuff!. it makes me madWww@Answer-Health@Com

Im not exactly sure hon, but im pretty sure if the things you are doing arent workinng then there really isnt anything else you can do accept go to a gyno!.!.!.

There's really no way for you to tell on your own - the mirror's not gonna do it!. You need to ask for a specialist's help if it's that urgent!. Even random things you do as a little kid - extreme activity, doing the splits, or riding bikes or horses like you said - can tear it, as well as using tampons!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Here is a site that explains about the hymen and where it is!. Do understand though that not every woman has a hymen!. Some are born without one!. Some hymens never develop correctly and some even break due to an accident or injury!. It doesnt mean that you arent a virgin or unfit!. It just happens!.

You could try getting a magnifying mirror and lie on the bed and open your legs as wide as possible, then with the mirror up close, see if there is a small piece of skin (membrane) covering the opening to the vagina!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unfortunately without seeing somebody qualified there isnt a way to tell if the hymen is intact!.

Your husband will not be able to tell if your hymen is intact or not, so it doesn't really matter!.
If you have had intercourse, he may be able to tell, but if I may say something, how do you tell if he's a virgin!? I think there should be a strict code that if your to be a virgin before marriage, he had better well be one as well!.
