Answers:
They do ask if you're a virgin, and if you are not, they will usually offer to test for sti's!. It is always best to be honest and follow the dr's guidance!. Anything you tell a dr!. is completely confidential!. They will probably ask you a few questions about your body and your sexual experiences!. Don't be nervous or shy, it is their job and nothing surprises them!. It is a good idea to get tested for sti's, especially if you have had unprotected sex!. If there is any issue with results of the tests, by law the doctor cannot tell anyone except the patient of the results (of course I am not sure when it comes to minors)!. Be honest and tell the doctor you are uncomfortable with your parents knowing that you are not a virgin!. They will understand!.
Every sexually active female should have a gyno exam/ pap smear at least once a year, as well as any female over age 18!. If you have questions, you can always visit a Planned Parenthood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ask your gynecologist about your HIPAA-protected rights, and what they are required to tell your parents and what they're not allowed to tell your parents!. Make sure you let them know if you are or are not comfortable with them telling your parents specific things!. Being clear and direct (and polite) is usually the best route! You can even call ahead, if you can catch a private moment, if you're worried about your parents wondering why you're trying to get the gynecologist not to tell them things!. :)

They do ask if you're sexually active!. They won't tell anything to your parents because everything has to be kept confidential (meaning they're not supposed to tell anyone)!. If you say yes, they'll probably ask you how many partners you've had and whether you were safe or not!. It may be tempting to lie about this stuff because it could be embarrassing, but remember that the doctor is there to help you!. They need to know the truth in order to give you the right care!. And also, they've probably heard it all!. If they feel that you might be at risk for an STD they might want to give you a blood test or something!. But mostly they'll just check you out inside to make sure everything is ok!. First trips to the gynecologist can be scary, but don't be nervous!. It's just a part of keeping yourself healthy :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Everything you say in those appointments should be confidential!. Be honest and truthful, as the answers that you give them may have an affect on some serious issues that may arrise!.

For Example, if they ask if you have had sex and you say yes, they may ask if you used protection!. Be honest, because if you didn't have safe sex they will want to talk to you about std's, and the consequences that may occur since you weren't protected!. Basically they just need to know all this information to keep you healthy and safe, it's in your best interest to be honest,
Just relax because they can't say anything to anyone about your appointment!Www@Answer-Health@Com

they cant tell your parents, most of the time, due to confidentiality!. it is always best to be totally honest with a medical proffesional, and if unsure alwasy clear up thier confidentiality clasue before telling them anything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The gynocologist does ask if your sexually active, but at the hospital I work at, they cannot tell your parents anything without your permission if you are over 12!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm pretty sure everything is confidential!. If you're not sure ask your gynecologist first!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
