Hysterectomy??????!
Question: Hysterectomy!?!?!?!?!?!?
I am 28 and I am about to have a vaginal hysterectomy!. Can anybody explain all the after effects like weight gain!. If I exercise will it keep it off!? Mood swings!. I've heard that hormone replacement therapy can calm you or make you bitchier!. Someone please help!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had my hysterectomy last September!. But I kept my ovaries!. Will you be keeping your ovaries!. If so, you won't feel no difference!. In fact, I have a higher sex drive and I'm not as cranky as I was prior to my hysterectomy!. However, I had to have a hysterectomy because I had many large fibroids!. I have gained about five extra pounds, but it has nothing to do with the hysterectomy!. I haven't been doing nothing but sitting in front of the computer and watching TV!. Plus, I've started eating these great brownie a la modes because my daughter has discovered them!. lol

I wish I'd found the site before I had mine!. A lot of my questions and concerns would have been answered with just looking at the responses on this website!. But I stumbled on the site a few days after my hysterectomy and learned of various things I should do before the surgery, things I'm entitled to at the hospital (which the hospital doesn't tell you), questions to ask the doctor, etc!. It's an awesome site for women!.

My wife had a full hysterectomy 5 yrs ago and followed her doctors advice to a T and has had no complications with any after or side effects of any kind!. I know everybody reacts differently but if your doctor knows you on a personal level and suggests specific things for you to do!. Follow his advice and you should be ok!. She had all of the feelings that I assume women have before this particular surgery, fear,wondering 'will i still feel like a woman', and I'm not a whole woman any more!.' We have four children and I assure you she still feels like a woman!. She gained no weight at all and had no mood swings following her doctors' words!.
