ya it is definatley normal some girls dont have it until they are 18 so she is fine
but if she gets to the age like 20 i would see a doctor

It could be she is just a late bloomer but I'm a little skeptical about that!. If she goes much longer without starting she should have her hormone levels checked!. There are medical reasons why girls don't have their period!. My 13 year old daughter has an under active thryroid, polycystic ovaries, and produces too much male hormone (yes, females make male hormones too!)!. She is on a low dose birth control pill to make her start and keep her cycles regular!. Sometimes you need a little help to get things going!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Every female is different!. If your cousin is an athlete or is under weight then there is a good chance she is just delayed a little!. Some doctors feel it is genetic also so if her mom was a late starter then she could also!. What is the hurry anyways, pads, tampons, cramps!

17 is definitely on the later side, but not unheard of!. If she is very thin, very obese, or an athlete, that might explain it!. If she is otherwise healthy, I would tell her not to panic and maybe go to the doctor if she turns 18 and hasn't gotten it yet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
yes its okay my moms cuz started at 18 its just her cycle!. i started wen i was 10!. but if she hasnt before she is 19 i would consult a doctor/

she should go and get checked out!. This is not the norm!. It could be hormonal, due to stress or possibly her weight, or if she is really active!. there may also be other causes!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
