Weird bump on labia?!

Question: Weird bump on labia!?
I have a weird bump on my labia!. It showed up yesterday or the day before!. It's roughly the size of a pea, somewhat firm but too soft to be a wart!. It itches moderately and hurts mildly!. It's uncomfortable to stand or sit certain ways because my pants or my leg will press against it, which makes it hurt more!. It's bright pink and a little warmer than the surrounding skin!. What could it be!? I don't have health insurance!. What's my best bet for getting it looked at!? I also suspect I may have hemorrhoids!. Can hemorrhoids occur on the labia!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Chances are its just an infection that needs to be treated with an antibiotic, not an std!.

It probably developed because of friction in that area!. Kind of like when you get a new pair of shoes and they cause a blister!?

But to be safe, and since you do not have health insurance, please go to your local health dept for and appt and check up and blood test!. It is free as well as the neds they will give you to clear it up!.

For the time being, buy some Epsom Salts at the drug store or grocery store!. Put about 1/2 cup into a warm bath, stir to dissolve the salt then sit in it for at least 30 mins each day!.

The salts cost about $2!.00 and if you do not see improvement within 5 days, go to the health dept!.

Also, wearing Thong undies as well as tight jeans can cause this type of irritation!.

Good Luck and go to the hrealth dept so you don't have to suffer thru this!. Jackie bWww@Answer-Health@Com

its like a cyst!.!.!.i had one!.!.!.it went away!.!.but if it last for like 4 days, make an apointment with the gyno!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Genital warts do tend to occur in clumps, and they're usually kinda dry, not swollen!.

It sounds to me like you've got an ingrown hair!. What I'd recommend doing is to get a large hand mirror and position yourself over it until you can see the part that's hurting - is it raised, red, does it have a white top!? Knowing what it looks like will sometimes help you know what the problem is!.

When I get ingrown hairs, I'll take a pair of tweezers over the mirror and pull out the hair from the infected follicle - let it drain, then wipe with peroxide or rubbing alcohol a couple of times!. You should also probably use a hot (not TOO hot) washcloth over it, followed by peroxide/alcohol wipe until it feels not painful!. If it's in an area that rubs against your legs, you might want to consider putting a band-aid or gauze or (if it's low enough) using a pantiliner so it has someplace to drain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

first, no, hemorrhoids don't occur on the labia!. Secondly, we need a little more info!. Have you shaved, recently!? Or waxed!? It could be an ingrown hair that got infected!. Nothing will help, but it won't stay too long (although I had one that was badly infected and the lump was there for 3 weeks)!. Another thing it could be is a boil!.!.!. I get those once in a while (as gross as that sounds)!. If it turns white or pimplish in any way, go to your local drug store and buy something called Boil Ease!. It's brown, so you'll want to wear a panty liner or put a band aid over top of it!. Put it on before bed, the boil should be gone (or lessened) by morning!.

It's not anything to be concerned about, I get all kinds of weird stuff going on, but my gyno explained it all to me!. No worries!. You'll be fine!.

And from my understanding, when genital warts happen, it's usually clusters, not just one lump!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You poor thing!. I am so sorry for you!.
I am not a medical pro but I think you might have what I totally SUFFERED from many, many times!.
I know you don't have any insurance so I urge you to go to a planned parenthood clinic if there is one available in your area!. They work on a sliding wage scale!.
What I had was a Bartolin gland swelling!. It is so very painful and there really isn't any immediate treatment except lancing the swelling!. I do hope that this is NOT what you have, but it may be!. It starts out slow and then just swells until it becomes basically unbearable!. WARM BATHS help so much and can even cure the problem!.
I don't believe that you can get hemorroids on the labia but again I am not a medical pro!. I have had my fair share of those too! Nasty and again had to have those lanced on occasion!. Not much fun!
Hun, I am routing for you and wish you all the best!. Being a woman is difficult but we have to sometimes deal with the suffering and be strong!. I hope you have great friends and a loving family that will help you through all of this!.
All the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
