Question: Any women out there who have been pregnant with a colostomy bag!?
Hey, I'm 17 years old and I have a permanent ileostomy/colostomy bag!. =/
My question is, I've been thinking about my future and I'm wondering if I can get pregnant in my situation!? Will the stoma expand to a point where there could be major complications!? The bigger I get, will I have to order larger wafers!? Just, anything!.!. what's the worst that could come from being pregnant!? Will the situation be worse if I'm pregnant with twins!? What happens after I give birth!? Will my stoma go back to normal size!? I'm also short, and skinny, I'm not over weight!.!. [if that matters]!.
I would be SO grateful if someone out there who has a stoma and has been pregnant can share their experience!! I have no one to talk to!.!. I just, want a story to get an outlook on, not just facts!.
