Question: Antibiotics!?!?
im 13 years old and i have the swimmers ear!. i went to t7he pharmasist todayyyy and the one minute clinic lady at cvs told me to put achohol in my ear and i did that she also told me to come bak tommorow if it hurts and she will give me prescription for antibiotics!. and i have a question!. im 13 and i cannot swallow big pills!! is the anti biotics shes gunna give me pills!?!? are they big!? is there a replacement if they are!? becouse i CANT swallow BIG pills only small ones like ibprofenWww@Answer-Health@Com

actually (not to scare) some of the antibiotics are quite large!.!.!. but most come in a liquid form so all you have to do is explain the situation to the pharmacist and they will switch it to something that you can swallow :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
Don't worry!. Since pharmacist knows your age (it's part of the prescription), she will give appropriate tablets!. All oral medicines used in pediatric age group have suitable form(s) which make them easy to swallow!. If you don't open the packet, you can return it and get another with suitable form!. You may go for half the strength and take two tablets instead of one!. But since you mentioned that you are 13, I think you can take tablets without any difficulty!.
At the same time, I must advice you NOT to self-experiment with doses of the antibiotics!. Pharmacist will gladly help you in understanding how to take a complete dose of the antibiotic; how many times a day and for how many days!.
P!.S- Don't worry about liquid advil and stuff!. Pharmist would explain you how to take the tablet(s) properly!.
