Question: Any information about accutane!?
I'm starting accutane on july 9!. my doctor has already told me a lot of things that i should be aware of!. but from any experience of others or information you think everyone should know!?

I did accutane when I was 16 and I am SO glad that I did!. There are only two or three months of it that actually suck because your skin and scalp get dry, but other than that it's not too bad!.
Definitely, if your lips get really chapped, use Aquaphor!. It's a lifesaver and you will need it- especially in the corners of your lips, cause they get really chapped around the 3rd month!.
Umm!.!.!. use lotion, definitely, I recommend Eucarin!. Especially since it's summer- don't forget to put it on when you get out of the pool or come from swimming because your skin will be extra dry!.
MOISTURIZE!. All the time!. I use to carry a little travel size of my favorite intense moisturizer (the Aveeno ones work really well) in my purse and use it whenever my face felt dry!. At night I would really recommend Eucarine as a moisturizer because it's really thick, but at the same time doesn't clog your pores!.
For your hair, just because accutane dries out everything, I recommend washing your hair with a dandruff shampoo once or twice a week!. I never get dandruff or have ever had dandruff, but it feels nice on your scalp when you're doing accutane!.
Drink lots of water/fluids!. And I took flaxseed oil and multivitamins!. Your joints might feel a little dry when you reach the 5th month- when I did mine I was working out a lot and I felt it sometimes!. Just get plenty of sleep and water and you'll be good to go!.
But most of all, don't be nervous about doing accutane- you won't regret it!. It will really get your acne under control, if not completely get rid of it!. Your skin will be smooth and you will look great!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do not get waxed while taking accutane!. It will literally take your skin off!. Everything will become painfully dry and cracked!.!.!.!. places you don't think about now, like the inside of your nose!. Vaseline is your friend!. Use Carmex (or aquaphor) on your lips!. Eucarin is an awesome moisturizer!. Avoid drinking a lot of alcohol!. Accutane is pretty hard on your liver as it is, so combined with enough alcohol will result in a lot of vomiting!. 2!. your joints may be sore!. that'll go away really soon after you are off accutane, and its really not that bad!.
3!. if you have sensitive skin, it'll get dry!. moisturize really well and if you wear makeup, make sure its natural and good for your skin (not cheap drug store makeup!.!.!. itll slower the results of accutane)
4!. it may suck at times when your back hurts and your lips are dry, but it will be SO worth it when your skin is perfect

I thought accutane was for acne what does pregnancy have to do with it!? haha well maybe I am wrong then but I know a guy that has taken accutane (if we are talking about the same thing- the acne medicine) and his skin is SO MUCH BETTER! wow it was like within a month or two great results!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
