What will a doctor say to a minor who is having sex?!

Question: What will a doctor say to a minor who is having sex!?
I know during check ups they always ask if you're being sexually active!. If you're a minor, what will they say to you!? And they won't tell your parents, right!?

No, I'm not having sex yet, but I'm just wondering!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, they won't tell your parents!. If you are concerned though, you can tell him "look, I really would like to talk to my mom on my own about this, so please don't talk to her about it!." just to make sure!. But even if you don't your doctor is not allowed to tell your parents anything unless you are seriously ill or in real danger!.

Also, most doctors won't even tell you "don't have sex" because they want to make you feel comfortable, so you will come to them if you have any problems!. His primary concern will be that you are being safe!. He will ask you what kind of contraceptive/protection you are using, and depending on your doc, he might suggest a prescription for the pill!. (Take it!. You can tell your mom that your periods are super irregular or painful, or that it's for your skin, those are all other things you can be on birth control for!.) Be totally honest with your doctor, always!. Trust me, he's seen and heard it all, he won't think less of you, and it is the absolute best way to stay healthy!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay first always be completely up front with your doctor!. If you go in the exam room by yourself anything you tell the doctor by law cannot tell your parents unless you give him permission!. Most likely they will inform you of the risks and diseases out there and also about the forms of protection!. Always use protection!. Take care and good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it depends on the dr!. Some can get personal and ask you if you're having sex, and maybe even offer birth control!. They can't tell your parents, it would be a violation of their contract, unless you tell the dr its ok!. Some drs might tell you not to do it--I had one GYN tell me he wouldn't give me birth control because I wasn't married!. Needless to say I didn't return to him!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

they will tell you to make sure you wrap up and tell you the only way to fully protect yourself is abstinence!. also whenever you go see the doctor for anything vaginal related they will check you for STDS!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
