Not sure if this was intended as a 'girls only' question by fiance has Mirena so I thought I'd offer you a suggestion:

We have two children and decided that was enough but at this point we didn't want to completely rule out any chance of children later so we went with Mirena instead of more permanent options like a tubal ligation or vasectomy!.

Having an IUD inserted is a fairly short procedure (10 minutes or so)!. You'll schedule an appointment with your GYN who will do the procedure!. It's not much different than a typical annual pap appointment!. That actual insertion can cause a little cramping (about the same as menstrual cramps in my fiance's case) so it really wasn't that bad!.

Little tip though: her doctor suggested she take a pain reliever starting about 24 hours before her appointment - this will help relieve any cramping discomfort you might have from the procedure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

An IUD does work!. Especially if you get the hormonal one (Mirena)!. It is the most effective form of birth control on the market!. It only hurts slightly more than a regular pap when it is inserted, and it makes your periods shorter and lighter!. You don't need a back-up form of protection, either!. You are covered as soon as it is inserted, and it lasts for 5 years!.

As for your other problem!.!.!. you can't change your baby's father's penis size!. It is what it is, and you just have to work with what he has!. Apparently it gets the job done!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, they really do work!. I had one for about 3 years, then had to have it removed because i kept getting infections!. I think they are better then the pill!. I had lots of side effects from the pill, but none from my IUD!. I would say, give one a try!. If you don't like it, you can always have it taken back out!. Good luck :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com
