kay there is nothing to be scared of!. it dosent hurt at all if you do it right!. it feels weird inserting it but once in it is like a blessing- no more feeling the sticky dirty wet pad!!. just take a warm shower , put some music on, relax, and just dont over think it!. many, many girls/women have to go through the same thing everyday, and you know you are strong enough to do this!. just follow the directions and will be set to go!. i have friends who have been wearing then since their first periods when they where 9!.10!.122 and so on and they are fine!. the only thing to worry about is tss- and that wont happen if you change it every 4-8 hours and even so many there are those women who leave it one for longer period of time and get lucky and dont get sick!.

think about this as another step in the way of life!. think of this as somethiing you can do!. dont go in the bathrrom sacred but go in with happy thoughs!.

it maytake a few tries but youll get it eventually!.

postions that help: sit down lean forward!.

stand up squat and insert

stand up put a lg in something and insert!.

remember to push it up !. if you can feel it after you put it on then that means is too low!.

plastic applicators re the way to go!. and start by using small ones!. platytex and tampax perl are good ones to try!. there are also junior or teenage ones that are perfect for beginners

Tampons are heaven compared to pads!. Once you get comfortable with tampons you'll never go back!. But here are a few pointers for ya!.

1!.) To start, use the smallest size tampon you can find, (you may need to use a pad at the same time just in case the small size tampon isn't absorbant enough for your flow)
2!.) Make sure your tampons have an applicator!.
3!.) There are instructions in the tampon box which are illustrated and easy to follow!.
4!.) Apply a small amount of K!.Y!. Jelly to the tip of the tampon!. (It allows for a smoother tampon insertion)
5!.) Now place one leg on the toilet and keep the other on the floor, and well!.!.!., place the tampon/applicator into your vagina gently as suggested by the tampon manufactures instructions!.

Once its in you shouldn't feel it at all!. If you can feel it or if it hurts you gotta push it in deeper!.

All the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can see why you are afraid to use tampons because they aren't safe at all!. Commercial tampons are the most unhygienic menstrual option on the market; they are a wad of material (bleached cotton, rayon, and dioxin) soaked in chemicals during the bleaching process before being inserted into a major orifice of your body!. As well as preventing your vagina from keeping itself clean it gives bacteria the perfect environment to multiply in, leaves fibers within the vagina, absorb vaginal fluids leading to vaginal splitting, microtears and ulcers that encourage bacterial growth, erode cells on the cervix, and contain chemicals, bleach, and additives that increase growth of harmful bacteria within the vagina as well as have been linked to serious health conditions such as cervical cancer, endometriosis, birth defects, infertility and miscarriage!. Thus why tampons cause vaginal infections such as bacterial vaginosis and thrush, also why tampons cause toxic shock syndrome!. Tampax are known to be the most harmful and unhygienic of the harmful and unhygienic because of the materials and chemicals they use on their products as well as their poor history when it comes to protecting women
