Question: I just started my period for the first time yesterday is it ok to swim if i use a tampon!?
I just started my period yesterday and today I have to babyit at the pool and tomorrow im going to a waterpark!. im not afraid to use a tampon, ive already used one this morning, but im afriad that i will leak!. will i start leaking through my tampon!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

No you wont leak through your tampon and if you feel like you might, advance to a bigger tampon to be sure!. And swimming in water usually lightens and slows your period for that amount of time so don't be surprised if when your done swimming and you take the tampon out, there is little or no blood its normal but make sure to put a new one in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It is unlikely that your tampon will leak!. Tampons were designed for this type of situation!. Just be sure of a few things:
Do not leave a tampon in for more than 6 hours, even if its not full, so you don't get sick!. TSS is pretty serious, but rare!. It can be avoided by remembering to change your tampon often!.
Don't wear a tampon that is more absorbant than it needs to be!.
Otherwise, no problem!. Professional swimmers wear tampons all the time!.

Depends how heavy your flow is!. Its best to use a Super absobency just to be safe fromleaking!. Make sure you periodically (every 3 hours) gon check your tampon and decide if you need to change it!. ALWAYS bring more with than you thinkyou will need!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
yes you can use a tampon and it wont leak as long as you don't use it for more than 4 hours!. don't worry, if you put the tampon in right it will not leak!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Your period should not be a problem as the bleeding should stop in the water!. If in doubt have a bath or shower at home before hand and then you should be able to tell what will happen!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah you can use one, just use a larger absorbency, or change t more often if you would rather use lites!. Tampax Pearl lites are the best, in my opinion = P
