Question: Is it harmful to skip the "white pills" in order not get my period!?!?
I've been on Yaz birth control for about 2 months now for my skin and was wondering if it would be harmful if I went straight to the next pack of pills in order to skip my period this month!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yaz is a monophasic pill, which means the dosage is all the same!. Though there is some debate on whether or not it's a good idea to suppress periods by taking them continually, Seasonale and its low dose version Seasonique are approved for use 3 months at a time (4 periods a year)!.

Suppressing periods is the main reason people choose monophasic pills over multiphasic and it is almost unanimously considered safe as an occasional practice in the medical community!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Talk to your doctor first!. I actually have my b!.c!. prescription written for me to take it "continuously", which means skipping the white placebo pills!. I have endometriosis and my doctor says taking the pill continuously will keep the endo from getting worse!. I also love not having a period every month!Www@Answer-Health@Com
