i know i just asked this but im asking it again!. okay!. i also went kyaking in lake water and i cant tell if my vagina smells weird from the lake water or tampon!. and im still on my period right now but i just went a checked and didnt find a string, i dont feel sick or anything!. its been 2 days now!.!. actaulyl maybe 3 since sunday butt PLEASEEEE tell me if the lake water can make your vagina smell gross!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Good lord, 3 days!? If you're under 18 you need to tell a parent IMMEDIATELY!.
Go to the doctor immediately!. It couldn't fall out, particularly with you wearing a bathing suit!.

Before you do that, though, go into a very brightly lit bathroom with a hand mirror and look for the string really hard!. I'd be willing to bet it's stuck in the folds of your labia or something!.
If you're not a virgin, or feel confident that you at least have plenty of room up there, you might try to look for the tampon by sticking your finger up!. If you find it you can try to pull the cord down with your finger!. But if you don't find it, you really need to go to the doctor!. The smell is not a good sign and you don't want to get Toxic Shock Syndrome!.

It is unlikely that the lake water is causing the smell!.
It is also unlikely that the tampon fell out without you knowing!. I know this may sound a little gross, but try reaching gently up into your vagina to check to see if you feel it!. DO NOT try to put another tampon in until you have found the old one!.

There is not a lot of places a tampon can go!. Reach your fingers in there and see if you can find it!. There is a space behind the cervix that it could be wedged in!.

it coudl make it smell i guess but most likely it is from the tampon!. and umm are you saying that you have had the same tampon in for 3 days straight and havent changed it!? because that it very very unhealthy and can cause toxic shock syndrom!. but like i said it is most likely from your period and tampon that it smells!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
hun ur tampon string may have come out, its important u go to the doctors to get it taken out immediatly to avoid or treat if u alreayd have TSS!. I mean tampons just don't fall out they r pretty up there!. PLus think if u were going down a water slide wouldn't u start to leak blood right away and the water woudl b pushing the tampon up cuz ur going against the water down into the water!. No!. I have swimmed in the lake all my life & have never stank from it!. You need to go to a Gynocologist to be sure!. Have'nt you ever heard of toxic shock syndrome!?!? If it's in there & you get an infection you could be very, very sick & possibly worse!. Read about this on the internet look it up!. Do not take a chance with it!. You said you have a funny smell coming from your vagina, lake water does not usually do this, which would lead me to believe the tampon is still in there!.
