An average cycle length for women is 28 days!. Not all women have a 28 day cycle!. To determine how long your cycle is you need to count from the first day of your period to the day that you start your next period!. You ovulate 14 days before your next period!. A woman is usually fertile 2-3 days before ovulation and the day immediately following ovulation, giving about a 4 day window where she can become pregnant!. A woman can have sex before ovulation and become pregnant due to the fact that sperm can survive for 3-4 days!. A woman can also become pregnant the day after ovulation due to the fact that the egg survives for 24 hours unless it is fertilized!. If the egg is not fertilized then the body starts to prepare the shedding of the uterine lining, AKA your period!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ovulation usually happens three days before your period!. It is when the egg is released from the ovary to come down the Fallopian tube!. This is when you can get pregnant, because the egg is now available for sperm to reach it!. Sperm can live up to 72 hrs!. before it dies!. So you have this time spand of a when you can get pregnant!. You can't get pregnant because the ovary hasn't released any eggs except during the ovulation time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

!.!.!.alright! here it goes! haha

ovulation all depends on the length of your cycle!. the average cycle is about 28 days!.!.!.mines more!. yours may be the same, less or average!.

usually to determine when you are going to ovulate (which is when the egg drops from your tubes and is ready to be fertilized)!.!.!.!.you should count approximately 14 days after the last day of your period (you can also use test and keep track of your temp!. to determine your ovulation)!. that 14th day should be when your egg is MOST fertile!.!.!.it also means that you can be fertile the 4 days before the day of your ovulation!.!.!.and the day after your ovulation!.

the closer to your ovulation date you have sex!.!.!.a higher chance that you can get pregnant (and sperm can stay alive and working from 48-72 hours)!.

so if you want to get pregnant have unprotected sex around that time!. if you are wanting to get pregnant they say the best position is guy on top!.!.!.and to level with your hips elevated!.!.

if you aren't wanting to get pregnant!.!.!.!.DONT have sex 4 days before, the day of, or the day after you ovulation period!

I am not sure why you are asking, but I'll try to make it simple!. Everything really depends on the length of your cycle, so here is the generic version!.

It's not a good birth control because ovulation can vary, but early in your cycle there is no egg to do your part of the pregnancy, mid cycle (ovulation) there is, and at the end of your cycle it is too late for implantation!. Also sperm can live 2-4 days so that has a role as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
