Answers:
well, doctors perform colposcopies when your pap smear has shown to be abnormal, and to further check for cervical cancer!. did she say what she thought might be the issue!? have you had unprotected sex!? it could have been a miscarriage, although i doubt that due to the time frame!. more likely is the fact that the doctor put a paste on the area where the tissue was removed for a biopsy to stop the bleeding, and this, mixed with a typical dark discharge that is normal after a colposcopy, can LOOK like blood when its technically not (at least the bulk of it isnt)!. now keep in mind that this is normal 2 to 4 days after the colposcopy- its been 6 days now, so you may want to call your doctor or even one of her PAs or RNs to ask if they think it could be a problem based on your medical history!. good luck and dont panic!Www@Answer-Health@Com
