what you have described could be mild yeast infection!. trying over the counter monistat would not pause any harm!. Since you have mentioned you are sexually active , you can try using OTC anti-Itch cream and if your symptoms do not improve within couple days, I truly recommend that you see a doctor

I wouldn't chance it!. You actually can pass a yeast infection on to a guy and it can be quite painful for him!. Be honest with him and tell him that you are going to get it checked out!. If it is a yeast infection they will give you a pill to take!. It could be another type of infection that is not caused by yeast but has the same symptoms!. You can pass this on (and all STDS) whether he is wearing a condom or not!. It obviously lower the risk but nothing is full proof!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
