Question: Pain!. Reoccuring UTI & Yeast Infection!. Ovarian Cysts!.!?
As the subject suggests, I have reoccuring UTI's and yeast infections, and I've had ovarian cysts since puberty, and I've been having extreme pain lately!. They got the UTI's under control and last urinalysis came back negative for UTI, but I've been treated with diflucan for yeast twice and a topical creme once!. The yeast seems to have gone away, but I'm still having this extreme pain!. I had my first diagnoses of a UTI on 4/2/08 so I've been havin pain since then!.
Don't tell me to go to the gyno, I've been there and I am a registered nurse, so I know a thing or two!. I am just stunned because of this everyday constant pain that feels like a UTI with extreme internal pain!. Can anyone tell me if they've gone through this and the results!? I've had an ultrasound that came up with nothing but the ovarian cysts, which they said is not the cause of my pain!. Well, I don't believe them, so, if someone could enlighten me on there experiences that would be awesome!. I'm in so much pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have had severe ovarian cysts most of my life (polycystic ovarian syndrome)!. it is painful all of the time - they're crazy if they say you don't get pain from the cysts!. it does feel like the same pain as a uterine or kidney infection!. I actually got a lot of relief by going on hormones and getting off birth control!. they are similar, but the difference in the hormones involved made it better!. I am on progesterone and bio-identical estrogen!. I now have somewhat normal periods, instead of the rivers of pain I had before!. The pain from the cysts has gone away except for a few days around ovulation!. By the way, I don't know how old you are - I am 44, and have not gone through menopause!. i also went on a yeast free diet and took nystatin at the same time to kill the yeast!. it made a HUGE difference! I added a good acidophilus supplement at the same time to get my yeast/probiotics in line in my intestinal tract!. The diflucan is good, but from what I read, it's more for the microfilaria yeast that is embedded in your cells!. If you have a large overgrowth, you need something like Nystatin to kill the large amounts, which then lets the Diflucan do it's job!. I really think your problem is probably the cysts though!. My doctor believes that PCOS and cysts are a hormonal issue, and he seems to be right!. Mine have gotten so much better!. Try to find a doctor who believes in bio-identical hormones, and give that a try!Www@Answer-Health@Com

OMG, I completely understand what ur going through!. I used to get UTIs often and I tried AZO Cranberry ( u can get it at any drug store)!. I works really good!. And I also had two ovarian fibroid cysts and let me tell you that I was always in pain! I had them surgically removed!. I was told that they were tiny and that they don't cause pain, well I didn't buy the pain part because I was feeling it!. And when I had them removed to my amazement they were so much bigger than my ovaries themselves!. Try the AZO and consider treatment for your cysts!. Good Luck!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
