I used Tampons all my life from beginning age of 12 until I had my last period at menopause!.
I tried other brands all through the years and always went back to TAMPAX brand !.!.They are the best!.
Plastic applicators will glide more easily !.
Absorbency depends upon the the cotton fill you choose
They have
Juniors
Regular
Super
Xtra Super
They also have a box with a sample of each -- which is great because you can adjust your usage during your period!.
Whether you choose the cardboard or plastic applicator is up to personal comfort!. You push the tampon into your vagina using the applicator then throw the applicator away!.

Please do not flush the applicator down the toilets!

I use OB because there isn't any additional garbage to throw away!. I do sacrafice some personal comfort when inserting, though!. I feel it's worth it over my lifetime of having periods - I've not contributed in that way to the landfills!.
It's a small thing, but they add up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get the small Pearls!. They work just fine!. You won't see anything surrounding you while you are in the water!.!.!.Yikes!.!.!.!. If you haven't used one yet, try one or two to get the feel before you go and bring a few extra with you while you are there!. just make sure you tuck your string!

I like Tampax pearl and they work wonders and when it says plastic or cardboard it means the applicator and I think its a lot easier to use plastic and more comfortable to put it in and no matter what you choose they are all comfortable
