my mom said in my family tree i'm up for twins!.
And the other day my mom said somthing happens that will tell you will have twins if you get preg!.
I really want to know!.

That is really really silly!. There are two ways that someone can end up with twins -- the first way is that when a woman ovulates she releases more than one egg!. The second is that she only releases one egg and in the very very early stages after fertlization it splits in to two seperate groups of cells!. The first way produces fraternal and the second way produces identical twins!. Your genetics do play a SMALL role in this but to say that you are "up for twins in your family tree" is completly rediculous!!!! There is no way to tell what is going to happen based on what happened to say your grandmother!. Don't forget you have BOTH of your parents genetics so what happened on your mothers side isn't necessarily an indicator of what will happen to you!. The way to tell of someone is pregnant with twins is to have a sonogram!. Discharge has NOTHING to do with it!. How silly!. Old wives tales are sooooo silly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
There is no way to tell if you will have twins or not for sure!. However, twins run in my family and there is a possibility of twins being born during every other generation!. For example, my dad is a twin and that is his generation!.!. he had me!.!. and I'm another generation!.!. and if I ever have kids that will be another generation to our family and a possibility of me having twins!. Well, the only thing I can think of is that if your family has quite a few sets twins, there is a high chance you will have twins!.!.!.Like in my family, There have always been quite a few boys!.!.!.out of 7 kids (including my cousins) I'm the only girl! So she probably is guessing because of your genetics!.

if you have a family history of having twins you do have a higher chance of getting twins but their is no way you can know if you are going to have twins when your older see when you have twins either two eggs drop or one egg drops and its kind of torn in to and in that case identical twins happen hope this helped
