Really, like when you go swimming, you should change it before and after, however im sure that if you did leave it in for a while after it would not matter as the only reson you are supposed to change it after going into water is because if a tampon absorbs water it is not going to absorb the blood as wellWww@Answer-Health@Com
It really doesn't matter!. If it being a little wet bothers you, then you can take it out if you want!.

I usually take it out before I shower and put a new one in afterwards, but if you just put a tampon in before you showered it will not hurt anything to keep it in after you shower, the string is the only thing that gets wet and you can dry that with your towel!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesn't matter, its just personal preference!. I wouldnt even shower with one, I think its just more hygenic to take one out first, but as long as you dont leave one in for longer than eight hours its fine either way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
