There is only one kind of vagina, and it is called a vagina!. There are however, different variations on the labia (lips)!. Some people have more prominent (big)labia majora (outer lips), and others have more prominent (big) labia minora (inner lips)!. There are also some people out there (usually third world countries) that also have have female circumcisions and are missing their clitoris!. I deliver babies for a living and have never heard the terms open or closed vagina!. I have seen in very young girls (2-3 years old) a thin membrane (skin) grows over the vaginal opening and seals it!. This then needs to be treated with hormonal cremes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There's two different meanings, I'm not sure which you're looking for!.

A "closed" vagina, is what happens to a vagina when nothing is in it, or trying to get into it!. The muscles relax and there's no room for anything (can't really see unless you spread your legs with a mirror and don't crouch down) You'll see the opening is all !.!.!.fleshy for lack of a better word!. This is usually why you typically can't go jamming something large into it unprepared!.

An open vagina is when it's open to receive something (tampon/penis/fingers/medical instruments/whatever)

ALTERNATIVELY
There is a medical disease called a Closed Vagina which typically in young girls!. It's also cause a Fused Vagina!. It's typically watched closely because it'll sometimes open by itself, however often medical interventions are required (hormonal cream, surgery, depending on the situation)

"open" meaning this girl has had a lot of partners (which isnt good)
"closed" meaning she is either a virgin, or has a really tight vagina!.

and yes, it's visible!. you can tell if its open, if you can visibily see her "hole" and if when you slide in, its extremely lose, like putting your penis in a shopping bag, you cant feel her "walls" so to speak!.
with closed you can feel the "walls" and yeah!.!.!.i think ya get it lol!. this is what other guys have told me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Women's genitals come in all shapes, sizes and colours!.

Some have big, puffy outer lips and tiny little inner ones that can't even be seen without spreading their legs and outer lips both!.!.!. some have smallish outer lips and inner lips that stick out firmly from them or hang!. Some have really big or really little clitorises!.

Knowing and accepting your unique "genital geography" isn't something mothers usually pass along to their daughters!.!.!. but it's something every woman should learn!.

The female genitals in every one of these pictures are perfectly normal in every way!. It's very unlikely that yours are *not* normal, and you should get to know them well and learn to love them!. They're a very important part of what it means to be *you*!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

a closed vagina is when the hymen isnt broken yet so there is a slight bit of skin covering the vagina, and an open vagina is when the hymen is broken so there isnt anything covering the vaginaWww@Answer-Health@Com
