Question: Anyone else experienced this with Implanon!?
I've had an Implanon rod in for almost two years, and I've had no promblems until very recently!. My period stopped almost immediatly after I had it put in and I've not had one until a few months ago when I had a very light bleed that lasted for 14 days!. This stopped for another 14 days, then it came back and I was bleeding (albeit very lightly) for 23 days!. That bleed stopped exactly 1 week ago, however I started to bleed again last night!. At first it was just spotting, but I've woke up this morning and it's quite heavy and painful (bad tummy cramps etc)!. I know that your menstrual cycle can come back after being on Implanon for a year or so, Im just a bit worried that the bleeding seems to be lasting for so long!. Anyone else experienced anything like this with Implanon, or any advice anyone can give me would really be appreciated, as I don't really want to bother the doctor if this is normal and nothing to worry about!. I had the implanon for 3 years with no periods, got it out and replaced with a new one on same day and I had bad cramps and spotting for a few weeks on and off!. I went for a check up with FPC and doc said it was completely normal but if I were you for peace of mind more than anything I would go back to the clinic that inserted it and get a check up!. Call your doctor!. It sounds like you're developing cysts in your ovaries, possibly due to the implant, or perhaps it's another problem!. It is, however, ABSOLUTELY something you should be speaking to your doctor about!. Irregular bleeding like that, especially so close together so infrequently, is something that your doctor would have told you around the time you got the implant to call them about should you experience it!. It's probably nothing serious, but let your ob figure that out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
ive had mine in for 3 yrs no trouble maybe a few irregular bleedings,i had it removed over 6mts ago and a new one inserted right at the side the same day ive had no problems so far!.im not saying its not normal for you ,its just everyones different,if your worried maybe a phone call to your doctors!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Before you got the Implanon it should have been explained to you that more often than not u can experience irregular and erratic bleeding!. I had the Implanon in for only 3-4 months and during that time i bled continuously, hence y i had it removed!. Maybe its time u consulted ur GP about this!Www@Answer-Health@Com
