I got my period when I was ten and that's when I started using tampons!.
I'm a gymnast, so pads weren't an option when I had my period!.
Plus, when you think about it, pads are very gross!. If you can't change it every two hours, you're basically sitting in your period blood (YUCK!)!.
As long as you can insert the tampon correctly, it won't bother you in any way!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I got my period when I was 13 (in April)
I used my first tampon when I was 13 (in June- It was like a week before my 14th birthday)!. I would have stayed with pads a little while longer, but I was going on a class trip to a waterpark and I didn't want to miss out on all of the fun! Thank goodness for tampons!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i got my period when i was 12!.
i started using tampons 6 months
later!.
i like tampons a lot because they are
easy to change and aren't messy!.
i only wear pads to bed because of
TSS, and i wear a pantiliner or light
pad with a tampon in case the tampon
leaks!.

I started using tampons as soon as I got my first period at age 13!. I've never used pads before!. However, I started using a menstrual cup called the divacup when I was 15 years old!. Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
