Question: Questions about emergency pills, the actual pill and pregnancy tests!.!?
My friend is a total idiot and basically had unprotected sex!. She rang me saying what should she do, I told her to go to Boots (chemist), the sex clinic, or to the doctors!. She did neither and now it is 4 days later!.
Question 1:
The emergency pill is for use between 72 hours after unprotected sex!. Does this mean it is totally ineffective after 72 hours!?
Question 2: She plans to go on the pill (I will MAKE SURE she books a Doc appointment AT LEAST by Tuesday)!. Will this solve the problem or not!? Because it will regulate her period!?
Question 3: If she wanted to take a pregnancy test, how long after unprotected sex will it show results!?

i used precautions and got pregnant at 15 so no judgement here!.
firstly if she goes to the doc to go on the pill she will be asked about whether she has sex, when she last had sex, was it careful etc etc!. if she answers honestly they will then proceed to doing a pregnancy test there and then, because if they put her on the pill and she is pregnant she will stay pregnant and by taking the pill could actually harm the baby!.
the sooner you deal with this the better though, i told noone and was 13 weeks before anyone found out, that was 18 years ago and i still have days i think about it nowWww@Answer-Health@Com
