Is birth control really as effective as it's supposed to be?!

Question: Is birth control really as effective as it's supposed to be!?
I know a few girls who got pregnant on the pill!.!. One of them got pregnant twice and she was on the pill both times!. It just doesn't seem like it's 99% effective like it's supposed to be!. Do you think that one of those injections would be a better choice!? I'm very paranoid about getting pregnant!.!.!.!. What other options do I have!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Contraception is only as good as the user!. In other words, if you are EXCEPTIONALLY vigilant about using it, you're far less likely to become pregnant than someone who is haphazard about it!.

As well, there are a great variety of pills on the market, because everyone's body build and personal chemistry are different!.

In your friend's case, I would suspect that (even though she will attest otherwise) she missed pills!.!.!. OR she was using a medication that negated the efficacy!. These are the #1 & #2 ways the pill fails!.

The "99%" thing is if you have the perfect pill for your body build and type, are taking it at EXACTLY the same time every single day, and you are not taking any medications (Rx or over-the-counter or herbal) that would interfere with the pill!. St!. John's Wort and antibiotics are NOTORIOUS for causing the pill to fail!.

So if you want to use the pill -- or any contraceptive -- be VERY aware of what will interact with it, be SURE you use it EXACTLY as you're supposed to, and understand too that no matter how careful you are, NO METHOD IS EVER 100% EFFECTIVE!.

If there is such a high level of paranoia about pregnancy that it is going to interfere with your life as a whole, then you should abstain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

99% effective when used correctly!.

Lots of girls/women do not use them correctly!.

The injection is also ONLY 99% effective (not to mention a majority of women have some serious health issues because of it!)!.

The ONLY 100% effective method is abstinence!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Abstinence!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
